Karmen Y asked: I know what global warming is. What I don’t get is why the Earth is turning colder now that the icebergs are melting. Someone please help me!!
Thank you all who answered. Unfortunately, I’m still confused. What I’ve noticed is that the weather is starting to become colder, for example: Ontario, Canada had received a snow storm with the most snow out of past 60 years. I don’t understand how melting icebergs in the north could have affected that. Please leave a reference of your source of information. Thank you once more to all!

joe c asked: For instance, global warming will cause the ice glaciers to melt and cause a rise in sea level, thus partial flooding of coastal areas will occur. Now knowing that this might be a possible cause, how will this impact real estate?
Knowing this, how will it impact the economy and the market.

lokesh k asked: I just wanted to know the various methods for global warming. I recently heard that there is a chemical which depletes atmospheric carbon content. Is this really true and what are other methods that we can follow to prevent Global warming?

Jack B asked: It seems like there are more and more every year. Does this have anything to do with global warming? I live in an area of California that’s hilly and hear forests…I’m kind of getting scared now.

The drier a climate is, the more easily fires spread. The drier a climate is, the more likely lightning is to strike and cause a fire.

hubertusgreen02 asked: While the scientific community has a very high confidence that global warming is real and caused by human activities, the lay press has apparently identified no one group that has actually done the most to reduce greenhouse gases. If such a group exists, who are they? What specific steps have they taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions? Approximately how many tons of carbon dioxide (or equivalent greenhouse gases) emissions have they prevented, captured, or “sequestered?” And what objective sources can you cite to support your conclusions?
A related question is, what are the major barriers–social, political, economic, technological–holding back countries, non-governmental organizations, and other groups (and individuals) from achieving large-scale reductions and mitigations of greenhouse gases and related global warming effects?
